Summary
A thin 1080p smart projector with licensed Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video built in and a 360-degree stand for ceiling setup. Check the exact model and the real asking price before you buy: the panel is native 1080p, but the brightness is a seller figure with no independent test and there is no battery.
Strengths
- Native 1080p in a slim 1.81-inch chassis, not an upscaled low-resolution panel.
- Licensed Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video are built in, so no streaming stick is needed.
- Autofocus, automatic keystone and a rotating bracket cut setup work.
- Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 audio and HDMI, USB and 3.5mm cover wireless and wired sources.
- The 360-degree stand makes ceiling projection easy and acts as a lens guard.
- Rated at 55 W, so running electricity stays modest.
Weaknesses
- Brightness and contrast come only from seller listings; no independent meter test of this model was found.
- There is no battery, so travel use needs AC power despite the portable size.
- Bluetooth carries audio only; video needs HDMI or casting.
- Exact-model owner evidence is thin; dust and black-spot reports come from other VOPLLS models.
- No S5 service manual, parts catalog or confirmed US warranty term was found.
- Fan noise and optical-engine life are unmeasured.
Verified specifications
| Model | VOPLLS-1080p-mini S5, black, LCD. |
|---|---|
| Native resolution | 1920 × 1080; 4K is playback and input support, not panel resolution. |
| Brightness | 320 lumens claimed by the seller; a third-party database lists 1,800 ANSI for an S5 with a different identifier, so neither figure is a measured result. |

| HDR | HDR10+ claimed. |

| Wireless | Wi-Fi 6; Bluetooth 5.2 for audio output only. |
| Image setup | TOF autofocus, automatic keystone, obstacle avoidance and screen alignment. |
| Ports | HDMI, USB and 3.5mm audio. |
| Projection | claimed 30–300 in range with 3.2–23.2 ft throw endpoints. |

| Audio | 2 × 5 W speaker claim for the Smart Mini. |

Brightness and picture
The listing puts brightness at 320 lumens, calling it an ANSI figure measured under ISO 21118; a third-party database lists 1,800 ANSI for an S5 identified differently, and neither number came from a controlled test. Contrast is just as unsettled: exact-name resale metadata says 1000:1, other S5 pages say 10,000:1 or 20,000:1, and no measured on/off or ANSI contrast result was published. Set the projector up as a dark-room machine and judge the picture under your own lighting. Resolution is genuinely 1920 × 1080; 4K is input and playback support, not the panel.
Setup, streaming and form
Setup is unusually complete for the class: Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 audio, TOF autofocus, automatic keystone, obstacle avoidance and screen alignment. Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video are advertised as licensed and preinstalled, so there is no dongle to manage; HDMI and USB remain the fallback if an app is ever dropped. At roughly 7.8 inches square and 1.81 inches thick with a 360-degree rotating stand, the projector aims at a wall or ceiling easily, and the stand doubles as a lens guard. It runs on AC at 55 W, so it is not cordless.
Reliability, parts and running costs
Exact-model owner evidence is thin. Searches turned up isolated dust, black-spot and LCD burn-in reports, but those came from other VOPLLS models and are family signals, not proof of an S5 fault. There is no S5 service manual, no parts catalog and no confirmed US warranty term, and no documented replacement interval for a lamp or filter. The LED source is claimed at 30,000 hours, and VOPLLS’s FAQ asks owners to contact support with order information and model name for a replacement remote.
Running cost is mostly electricity. At an assumed $0.20 per kWh, the listed 55 W for three hours a day works out to about $12.05 a year, or about $8.03 at two hours a day; that is an illustration, not a meter reading. There are no routine consumables, so the real ownership risk is replacing the whole unit if the optical engine or electronics fail outside warranty. VOPLLS’s own direct store lists the Q5 at $109.99 and the K3 at $139.99 (VOPLLS, October 2026), and an optional 120-inch portable screen is listed at $24.99 (Aurzen, October 2026).
Is it worth it?
At $110 or less a new, returnable S5 with working features is attractive; $111–$135 is still reasonable if the slim stand and direct apps matter. $136–$160 is marginal, since VOPLLS’s own Q5 lists at $109.99 and the Aurzen EAZZE D1 lists at $149.99 (VOPLLS and Aurzen, October 2026). Above $160, check those alternatives first, and at $200 or more the case is hard to defend without independent performance tests and a written warranty. Two new US eBay listings asked $125.99 and $219.36 in October 2026, so what sellers ask varies widely; the cheaper listing came with a 30-day return window and the buyer paying return shipping.
Which model this is
This page covers the VOPLLS Smart Mini, seller model field Voplls-1080p-mini S5, ASIN B0HGXQZRQZ. A matching Q5 or K3 listing is different hardware, and a third-party database entry that reports 1,800 ANSI uses a different S5 identifier. Match the S5 code on the sticker before buying a remote, adapter or mount.
