ToLife 95 oz Dehumidifier (TZ-C2): problems, parts and running costs

Checked: 2026-10-05

Summary

Most complaints about the TZ-C2 come from asking it to do more than it can: it is rated at about 1000 ml (1.06 pints) a day, so it holds a small closed room steady rather than drying a damp space, and output drops outside 59 °F–104 °F. The Bob Vila hands-on test named it Best Bang for the Buck with a 4.4 overall score, but rated effectiveness 3.7 and noise 3, and the sub-30 dB claim applies only to sleep mode. At or below about $60 it is a reasonable buy for a bedroom, bathroom, closet or RV; above about $120 it is weak value.

Yearly running cost

Electricity is the only running cost. At the manual’s 76.5–93.5 W rating, continuous 24/7 use is about 0.59–0.75 kWh a day, or 18–22 kWh per 30 days, and there are no filter, chemical or replacement-part costs. No dollar figure is published in the inputs. [3]
