Summary
An 11-inch Android tablet with a 120Hz OLED screen, an included S Pen and seven years of updates, pitched at people who want a premium Android alternative to the iPad Air. Check the price and your accessory budget before buying: there is no charger in the box and the S Pen has lost its Bluetooth features.
Strengths
- The 120Hz OLED screen is bright and sharp, and reviewers consistently name it as a highlight.
- The redesigned S Pen comes in the box and is more comfortable than earlier versions.
- The Dimensity 9400+ and 12GB of RAM handle multitasking, gaming and media smoothly.
- Battery life lasts a full day of mixed use, with tests ranging from about 9 to 15 hours.
- IP68 dust and water resistance is uncommon on a tablet.
- Seven years of software updates through 2032 is long support for Android.
Weaknesses
- It is expensive, and Samsung raised tablet prices again in April 2026.
- No charger is included; you need a separate 45W adapter for the fastest charging.
- The S Pen has no Bluetooth, so the remote-control features of older S Pens are gone.
- Accessories such as the Book Cover Keyboard are sold separately.
- Some owners report overnight battery drain or an S Pen touch point offset from the tip.
- TechRadar found the screen less faithful than the iPad Air’s and the touch response grabby.

Display and design
The 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel runs at 2560 × 1600 with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,600 nits peak brightness, so it stays readable outdoors and looks sharp for video and games. PCMag and Wirecutter both put the screen among the tablet’s best features. Two caveats from testers: TechRadar judged the display less faithful than the iPad Air’s and called the touch response grabby, and Notebookcheck saw a slight reddish tint at wide viewing angles.
The body is 5.5mm thick and 469g, with a Gorilla Glass 5 front and Samsung’s Armor Aluminum frame and back. IP68 means it survives a dunk, which is unusual for a tablet. Samsung dropped the anti-reflective coating the Tab S10+ carried.
Performance and battery life
The MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ and 12GB of RAM handle multitasking and demanding games without overheating, according to PCMag. Benchmark results place it above the Tab S10 and below the iPad Pro M4: Geekbench 6 scores of 2,778 single-core and 8,970 multi-core, a PCMark Work 3.0 score of 19,461, and 81 fps in GFXBench Aztec Ruins (PCMag).
Battery results depend on the test — 9 hours 25 minutes in PCMag’s video rundown, 11 hours 14 minutes in Notebookcheck’s web browsing, 9 hours 56 minutes in PhoneArena’s browsing estimate, and 15 hours 44 minutes in UL Solutions’ PCMark aggregate. Charging needs a 45W adapter and reaches 50% in 30 minutes; with the right charger a full charge takes about 1 hour 30 minutes. There is no charger in the box.
The S Pen and software support
The S Pen in the box is the redesigned model with a hexagonal body and conical tip, and it is more comfortable than earlier versions. It does not need charging, but it also has no Bluetooth, so the remote-control features from older S Pens are gone — a change some owners call a downgrade. It attaches magnetically to the side, though owners note it can be knocked off in a bag.
On software, Samsung promises seven generations of OS updates and seven years of security fixes through 2032, longer than most Android tablets. The tablet ships with Android 16 and One UI 8.0.
Owner reports and upkeep
Owner feedback is thinner than for previous Tab S models. Praise centers on the screen, build, speed and battery. The complaints that show up: a Reddit owner reported the battery falling from 94% to 0% overnight with no use, another reported the S Pen touch point sitting offset from the tip, and a Samsung community user reported the tablet waking and trying to enter a PIN.
About 23% of 30 verified owners on OwnersReview do not recommend it, mostly over price, accessories and the S Pen’s lost features. Nobody has published a failure rate, so treat the battery and S Pen reports as known annoyances rather than confirmed defects. No charger is included, the Book Cover Keyboard is sold separately, and storage expansion needs a separate microSD card.
Price and value
This is the tablet’s weakest point. Reviewers already called it expensive at its September 2025 launch, when the 512GB model listed at $979 (Samsung). In April 2026 Samsung raised prices across its tablet range, taking the 128GB model from $800 to $900 (Android Police).
The strong points are the OLED screen, the IP68 body, the included S Pen and seven years of updates. The Tab S10 FE is a cheaper option if you do not need the OLED panel or the extra performance.
