Summary
The JBL Vibe Beam 2 is a budget true-wireless earbud with active noise cancelling, 8 mm drivers, Bluetooth 5.3 and up to 40 hours of total battery life with ANC off. Check the price before you buy: JBL lists them at $64.95, but they have dropped to $40 in past deals.
Strengths
- Active noise cancelling that RTINGS says cuts mid-range noise like nearby conversation.
- Up to 40 h of total battery with ANC off, and a 10-minute charge adds 3 h.
- IP54 earbuds and Bluetooth 5.3 multipoint for 2 devices.
- The JBL Headphones app gives EQ control and a Relax Mode with 5 sounds.
- 4 microphones and punchy low end, per CNET’s hands-on.
Weaknesses
- The 40 h total is quoted with ANC off; with ANC on the earbuds drop to 8 h.
- The case is IPX2, so keep it away from water.
- Independent testing is thin: RTINGS is the only instrumented review found.
- No owner reports were available, so long-term reliability is unknown.
- JBL does not state whether multipoint plays audio from 2 devices at once or only one.
- Warranty terms for US buyers were not confirmed.

Battery life and charging
JBL rates the earbuds at 10 hours per charge with ANC off and 8 hours with it on, plus 30 hours from the case, for 40 hours total with ANC off. JBL does not publish a total with ANC on, so do not assume the 40-hour figure applies when noise cancelling is running. A 10-minute charge adds 3 hours, and a full charge over USB-C takes 2 hours.
Noise cancelling and sound
RTINGS, the only independent instrumented test found, calls the Vibe Beam 2 “decent for office work.” It says the ANC “does a good job reducing mid-range noise like chatty coworkers” and that the earbuds “don’t leak” audio. CNET describes “punchy lows without drowning out vocals” and “solid” call quality. The full RTINGS page was not accessible, so attenuation numbers and frequency-response plots are not available.
The app and pairing
The JBL Headphones app adds EQ customisation, voice prompts and a Relax Mode with 5 sounds. Some features need the app installed. The earbuds pair over Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair, and multipoint holds 2 devices, though JBL does not say whether both can play audio at once.
Price and value
JBL lists the Vibe Beam 2 at $64.95. CNET reported a one-day $40 price at Best Buy in January 2026. At $40 or less the earbuds are a strong budget option; near $65 they face better-tested budget ANC alternatives.
