Summary
A 6-quart electric pressure cooker with a ceramic-coated aluminum pot and 13 cooking functions, made for buyers who value easy cleanup over a stainless-steel pot. Check long-term coating care: the nonstick surface needs gentle utensils and hand washing to last.
Strengths
- Ceramic-coated nonstick pot wipes clean more easily than bare stainless.
- Independent testing found cooking performance competitive with a leading Instant Pot.
- 13 presets cover pressure cooking, slow cooking, sauté, sous vide and more.
- The steam-release switch is offset and vents backward.
- A progress display and savable settings on a budget cooker.
- No expensive consumables; only the sealing ring wears.
Weaknesses
- The ceramic coating can chip or scratch with harsh utensils.
- Independent testing flagged the chassis as cheaper-feeling than an Instant Pot.
- Dedicated accessories are scarce; generic ones may not fit.
- The pot is aluminum coated with ceramic, not a solid ceramic vessel.
- One owner reported a day-one error and slow warranty handling.
- No app or remote control.

Cooking and the pot
The 1100 W heater and 13 presets handle pressure cooking, rice, steaming, sauté, slow cooking, fermenting and sous vide. The notable part is the pot: aluminum with a ceramic nonstick coating, not the bare stainless insert common on Instant Pot models. That makes sticky rice and sauces easier to clean, and it is the main long-term compromise because the coating needs non-abrasive tools and careful washing.
Independent testing
Bon Appétit made this cooker its budget pick after it cooked chicken, beans, rice and slow-cooked pork as well as its winning model, and it noted easy setup and cleaning. The reviewer’s reservations were the cheaper-feeling build and the long-term future of the coated pot, not basic cooking. Bon Appétit described the coating as PTFE, but COSORI’s own manual and replacement-pot documentation say ceramic and made without PTFE or PFOA, so the first-party material description is the one to trust.
Cleaning and upkeep
Clean the pot, lid, sealing ring, anti-block shield, float valve and rack after use, and keep the base and heating element dry. Hand washing is preferable for coating life even though the removable pieces are top-rack dishwasher safe. For soups, porridge and other foamy or starchy foods, use a natural release rather than a quick release to reduce splatter and clogging.
Repairs and parts
The sealing ring is the wear item, and a model-specific 2-pack exists. A replacement inner pot, CRP-CO601IP-SUS, is also sold, though the upper end of its reseller pricing is steep next to the cooker itself. Accessory depth is thin: one owner said COSORI support described the folding rack as essentially the only dedicated accessory and suggested generic alternatives. Electronic, heater and sensor faults go to support rather than field repair.
Is it worth it?
Buy it on sale. Around the recurring street band it is strong value, and under the usual sale floor it becomes a clear deal for anyone who wants nonstick cleanup. Higher up the advantage shrinks against Instant Pot Duo and Duo Plus pricing, so compare those live before paying more for the COSORI.
Which model this is
This page covers the COSORI 6.0-Quart Pressure Cooker, model CMC-CO601-SUS, the US 120 V version, ASIN B0BFX95J5P. It markets itself as 9-in-1 while the control panel exposes 13 named functions. Do not confuse it with the EU CMC-CO601-SEU or with COSORI rice cookers.
