BENGOO G9000: problems, parts and running costs

Checked: 2026-10-05

Summary

The G9000 is a ~$20 wired 3.5 mm headset whose main risks are an overly sensitive omnidirectional mic and weak inline-control quality control. There are no parts or subscriptions to buy, so running cost is effectively zero until something fails, at which point the integrated cable, mic and control cannot be repaired. It is a reasonable buy at $18 or less for a spare or starter headset, fair only at its usual $19–22 street price, and poor value above $30 [2][7].

Common problems and fixes

Parts and consumables

No replaceable parts or consumables reported.

Yearly running cost

There are no filters, pods, batteries or subscriptions, so there is no parts cost to quote for a normal year. Ownership cost is the purchase price plus the risk of replacing the whole headset if the integrated cable, mic or inline control fails. [7][8]

When it is a good buy

At $18 or less it is a defensible spare, starter or kid’s headset, and it is fair only at its usual $19–22 street price. Above $23 the savings against better-built branded budget headsets shrink, and above $30 the money is better saved toward one of those. A September 2026 Walmart listing showed the blue model at $21.49, so the normal band is where the value case is weakest; buy at the bottom of it. [2][7]
